Not only have the huge challenge in fashion industry in the western countries but also in Taiwan has much more competitors. Being an independent designer in Taiwan’s fashion industry it is not easy to survive. Although there are more and more independent designers have creative design in Taiwan. In my observation for tan tan studio, the most competitor it is PONYO PORCO. PONYO PORCO who is the new fashion brand established in the end of summer 2015. tan tan and PONYO PORCO they all focus on the female who is 20 to 30 years old.
According to my observation, tan tan only has their own personal studio, comparing with PONYO PORCO which has a team including fashion designer, graphic designer and photographer.
Although they all focus on 20 to 30 years old female, the brand positioning for this two brands are still very different. tan tan has special cutting and focus on dress and coat. PONYO PORCO focus on hand-painted printing.
